Can Anyone fix a MacBook?

Thursday night after practice, I went home and made an awesome dinner that consisted of various foods I had kept in my freezer. After dinner, I pulled out my computer, turned it on, and started watching football. After about a minute, my screen went black and it just broke. I was confused. I hadn't done any significant damage to it and I have only had it for about 15 months. This frustrated me. Luckily, I purchased Apple-care with my computer so the cost of getting the problem fixed was small.

The biggest thing I have noticed is how inconvenient it is to not have a computer. Not only am I missing my computer to do my work on, but I lost the time utility of having a personal computer as well. I can no longer write my blogs from my couch. I have to go to the library and use a school-provided computer. The school's computers are not the most dependable, either. Most classes require assignments to be uploaded using Word. Trying to save files on the school's computers is a big headache as well. I struggle using the online network that ONU provides. At this point in my life, I find it difficult to find the motivation to learn how to use this network. I just want my computer back and to never use a school desktop again.

Hopefully My computer is fixed in a timely manner. Going to places on campus to do my work leaves me annoyed and displaced enough to the point where I cannot focus on my work. Also, there are files on my computer that are not backed up. These files are some assignments I have been working on. It would be awful if I had to redo these assignments because my computer is out of commission for an extended period. If you take anything away from this, I hope it is that your computer is valuable and pray it doesn't break.

  1. I'm sorry to hear that happened to you. When you are a college student, a laptop is a must have more often than you may think! It is lucky you have an Apple product though. Most other laptops don't have dedicated repair services to them and you have to take it to a independent contractor. Technology can be unreliable at the most random times. It is a fact of life nowadays. Hopefully you get it back sooner rather than later.

  2. I’m so sorry to hear that. Last year, I had a similar thing on my computer. My laptop didn’t connect to any Wi-Fi, and I couldn’t use it. It was final exam season and I had to write a lot of papers so I struggled with that. Anyway, I’m happy to hear you could have yours promptly.
