instagram got owned

Instagram hit the scene in 2010. Since then, it has been a great platform to share pictures of friends and businesses have used it to their advantage as well. Companies have used it to show off products and user generated content.

Instagram was bought by Facebook after they started out of the gates fast and were creeping up on Facebook's market. The power that Facebook has is absolutely crazy. The money needed and the power to be able to buy an entire company because they are challenging you is absurd. It seems sketchy and not right. They do not have a complete monopoly, but they do have a huge market share. It would be hard to turn down a $1 billion payout for a startup.

Overall, I do not like the decision to allow Facebook to own Instagram too. On the other hand, I can respect the decision to take the payout. However, what happens if they decide to buy Twitter. Then what are we are going to do? Where do we draw the line?
