Road trippin

This weekend was an experience to say the least. The football team traveled to Marietta for our game this Saturday. It is about a three-and-a-half-hour trip from Ada. Since it is so far about 40 of us got to stay in a hotel. It was a great experience staying in a hotel with some of my best friends. Everything went smooth on our way down. Since the NCAA has rules, you cannot stay to close to your opponent's campus we had about an hour drive left in the morning.
We got to go to chapel with Pastor Davis and after that we'd be on the road or so we thought. We get out of chapel to learn that our bus had broken down. We were worried that we would have to miss the game.     The coaches decided to make everyone get off the second bus and switch with us. This was to ensure that the people playing in the game would be there on time.
After awhile the second bus was fixed and everyone made it a game. It was a crazy experience but one I am glad to have. I like when things don't go as planned. It was fun having to compromise. I won't forget my first trip to Marietta with any football team.

  1. That is crazy. One time on my drive back from Florida we ended up getting a flat tire in Atlanta. It is such a scary thought to think that you may not make it to an event on time, especially a game. I am glad everything worked out smoothly for you.
